Office 365 for Business is more than just having the Microsoft Office products based in the cloud. The flexibility in the packages and their uses mean any business, big or small, can benefit from a feature-rich range of communication and collaboration tools, built with the modern mobile workforce in mind.
CARBON IT SERVICES also offer enhanced services that work hand-in-hand with Office 365 for Business to ensure your security, data and productivity are protected, and threats minimized, well beyond the capabilities of the standard packages.
Office 365 is a cloud-based subscription service that brings together the best tools for the way people work today. By combining best-in-class apps like Excel and Outlook with powerful cloud services like OneDrive and Microsoft Teams, Office 365 lets anyone create and share anywhere on any device.
Office 365 gives you the flexibility to scale your business quickly and adapt to suit your needs. Planning for the changes in headcount and usage between teams and departments can be difficult without risk of overspending or under provisioning.
We allow you to scale your licencing quantities and types up or down as needed, so your teams can continue to work with the tools they are familiar with, whilst making sure you only pay for what you need.
As it is entirely cloud-based, email, files (SharePoint and Onedrive) and Office programs (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) can be accessed from any location and any device. Team members can create, edit, and share from a PC, Mac or from a mobile device (either iOS, Android, or Windows based), with anyone in real time.
This is particularly beneficial for companies with multiple locations, remote or travelling employees or businesses that operate with no fixed geographical locations.
When working in a team environment, it is often that people collaborate on tasks, documents or presentations. Office 365 enhances your collaboration efforts by allowing everyone who needs to contribute to or edit a document (or spreadsheet, or presentation, etc.) to do so simultaneously in real-time, rather than having multiple copies. Versioning is also included in case you need to go to back to an older version, whilst the use of shared calendars and team chat ensure team members will always be in sync with one another.
Office 365 is a subscription-based service, meaning an upfront Capital expenditure is foregone in place of an annual or monthly fee per user and into Operational expenditure.
Although some of our customers decide to pay yearly, we're happy to accomodate month-to-month invoicing, which can be helpful from a cash flow perspective. We also champion our customers being given the freedom to switch off services that are not being used to cut costs without long contracts.
And because Office 365 has various business plans, each with different features and programs, you have the ability to mix and match your plan to your user's needs, meaning you don’t pay for more than you have to.
As Office 365 is cloud based, there is no need for servers for your emails or document storage. The cost savings are substantial; Removing onsite servers will reduce both energy costs and the need for office space to store server hardware, and eliminating the need for on-payroll support staff.
With an Office 365 Business plan licence, users have the ability to have office applications installation on up to 5 devices of their own per user.
Multi-device usage is commonplace nowadays; From using a desktop at the office, a laptop while you travel, a tablet at home, and let's be honest most people are guilty of having a smartphone by our side 24/7. The beauty of Office 365 is that documents can now be accessed from any of these devices, and auto-syncing means that the most current version is always at hand.
Office 365 is always up to date, and having access to the latest versions never employs an additional charge. Your users are no longer waiting for software upgrades or patches to apply before they can return to being productive, and compatibility issues are a memory from the past users all on the same version.

And whilst Microsoft offer their own toolset with Exchange Online Protection and Advanced Threat Protection, industry experts agree these can leave significant gaps for cyber criminals to exploit.

Vade fights malware by analysing the email origins (IP reputation), contents (code parser for attachments) and the context of the threat using artificial intelligence for optimal efficiency. Zero-hour detection and resistance to multi-form malware are its key features.
Using heuristic technology and machine learning, Vade's search engine identifies dangerous links and associated pages to defend against phishing waves that use URL shortcuts or URL changes. Web page searches are done in real-time and at the time of click.
The email filter analyses and classifies message contents, priority emails and identifies other emails by their category. Users can access no-priority emails (notifications, advertising, newsletters, etc) and spam if needed, but the undesirable emails are isolated.
Vade Secure uses IdentityMatch technology to detect minor technical and contextual changes of emails that make dangerous emails difficult to detect. It can discover if malware is attempting to usurp identity. Attached documents and URL links are also inspected in order to avoid malware insertions.
All data is stored in the UK Acronis Cloud Tier IV datacentres with are SSAE-16 certified and supply 99.995% availability. It encrypts data in transit and at rest with government-approved AES-256 encryption. Datacentres are also secured physically with high fences, 24x7 security personnel, video surveillance and 90-day archiving.
The Acronis portal enables users to easily search, preview, find and directly restore from the backup. If there's an attachment on an email, we can download from the backup (any versions, not just the most recent ones) and send emails directly from the backup without having to restore them to a designated Exchange Online mailbox first.
Mailbox backups are scheduled to run daily by default. We'll need to run a full backup for you the first time, to ensure all the data is accounted for, but subsequent backups are incremental and take less time, meaning data is even easier to find and restore.
The Acronis portal enables cross-recovery for users and organisations without issue. If multiple users' mailboxes have become infected by malware via a malicious email or link, restoration is quick and painless.
